The Family Literacy Experience
WHAT IS IT?
You are invited to attend a FREE, hands-on, bilingual training session focusing on literacy and science. This family learning event will help parents understand their child’s learning style. There are four modules developed, each is a two hour workshop. At each workshop, there's a listening, seeing and doing "station" and families rotate between stations. Take-home materials are provided to the families with ideas of how to support learning at home. It's fairly cost effective as we try to use inexpensive materials. This training is ideal for instructors wanting to bring a new family involvement program to their school. Following the training attendees will have access to all materials from the training as well as help implementing at their site.
Participants will receive one (1) Inservice credit if they go to all four (4) classes.
